I want to buy them, not borrow, I want to buy so I could say I bought this game.

I prefer buying cards over borrowing because I want it to have my name on it when I use it. Using borrowed cards feels like chewing someone else's gum to me. (I got this analogy from studying World War II, when the Americans let Britain borrow their guns, because Americans did not want to get actively involved in the war due to international relations)

This was the Cash and Carry Act.

Critics compared it to borrowing someone else's chewing gum, they considered ruining America's "neutrality"

The supporters of it compared it to borrowing a neighbor's hose.
